Tổng Quan Về Part 2

Part 2 là phần thi quan trọng nhất, chiếm thời gian 3-4 phút bao gồm 1 phút chuẩn bị và 2-3 phút nói liên tục.

  • Độc thoại không bị gián đoạn

Dạng câu hỏi: Describe an experience/event – kể về một trải nghiệm cụ thể trong quá khứ

Thì động từ: Chủ yếu là Past Simple và Past Continuous vì kể về sự việc đã xảy ra. Có thể dùng Present Perfect khi nói về impact hiện tại.

Bullet points phải cover:

  1. What the task was – Mô tả rõ ràng nhiệm vụ là gì, trong context nào (work/school)
  2. When and where you did it – Time frame và địa điểm cụ thể
  3. Why it was challenging – Đây là phần quan trọng, cần giải thích cụ thể những khó khăn

Câu “explain” quan trọng: Đây là bullet point cuối cùng và thường là nơi bạn demonstrate được depth of thinking. Đừng chỉ nói “I felt happy” mà cần elaborate về cảm xúc, lessons learned, và impact lâu dài.

Điều examiners thực sự chú ý:

  1. Natural communication ability – không phải perfect English. Chúng tôi đánh giá ability to communicate effectively, không phải academic perfection.

  2. Coherence và flow – ideas có connect logically và flow smoothly không. Discourse markers giúp rất nhiều.

  3. Vocabulary range và precision – không cần extremely difficult words. Chúng tôi ấn tượng hơn với precise, natural vocabulary used correctly.

  4. Grammatical complexity – mix của simple và complex sentences shows control. All complex không necessarily better.

  5. Willingness to develop answers – students nào elaborate ideas naturally và không cần prompted nhiều sẽ score higher.

Red flags khiến examiners nghi ngờ:

  • Answers nghe too polished, như học thuộc
  • Pause patterns unnatural (rehearsing trong đầu)
  • Vocabulary suddenly changes từ simple sang extremely complex không consistent
  • Cannot answer unexpected follow-up questions smoothly

Green lights cho high bands:
