- Có thể đề cập đến cả mặt tích cực và tiêu cực
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
Not really. I think being famous is difficult because you don’t have privacy. Many people will watch you all the time and it’s stressful. I prefer to live a normal life with my family and friends.
Phân tích:
- Điểm mạnh: Có quan điểm rõ ràng, đưa ra lý do cơ bản
- Hạn chế: Từ vựng đơn giản (difficult, normal life), thiếu examples cụ thể, ý tưởng chưa được mở rộng đầy đủ
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Communicates ideas nhưng còn basic, vocabulary đủ dùng nhưng chưa impressive
📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:
Honestly, I’m rather ambivalent about the idea. While fame certainly has its perks like financial security and the ability to make a real impact on society, I think the downsides would be quite overwhelming for someone like me. The constant media scrutiny and lack of privacy would be incredibly draining. I’d much rather lead a low-key life where I can pursue my passions without being in the public eye. That said, if I could be famous for contributing something meaningful to society, like scientific research, that might be worth considering.
Phân tích:
- Điểm mạnh: Từ vựng sophisticated (ambivalent, perks, overwhelming, media scrutiny, low-key life), thể hiện balanced view với cả pros và cons, sử dụng tentative language (rather, quite, might be), cấu trúc phức tạp với conditional clauses

Khi thí sinh học cách miêu tả một nhân vật có ảnh hưởng, họ cũng có thể áp dụng kỹ năng tương tự cho các chủ đề khác như Describe a person who is very inspiring để mở rộng vốn từ vựng và cách diễn đạt về con người.
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7
Thời lượng: Khoảng 1.5-2 phút
I’d like to talk about Professor Ngo Bao Chau, who is a famous mathematician in Vietnam. He is well-known because he won the Fields Medal in 2010, which is like the Nobel Prize for mathematics.
Professor Ngo was born in Hanoi in 1972. He studied mathematics at Hanoi University of Science and then went to France to continue his studies. He worked very hard on difficult math problems for many years. In 2010, he proved something called the Fundamental Lemma, which was a very important problem that mathematicians couldn’t solve for 30 years.
What I know about his career is that he became a professor at the University of Chicago and later came back to Vietnam to teach at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics. He is respected by many people in the academic world.
I think Professor Ngo is important to Vietnam for several reasons. First, he is the first Vietnamese person to win the Fields Medal, so he made Vietnamese people feel proud. Second, he inspired many young students to study mathematics and science. Third, he chose to come back to Vietnam to help develop mathematics education here, which shows he cares about his country. His success shows that Vietnamese people can achieve great things in science if they work hard.

📝 Sample Answer – Band 7.5-8
Thời lượng: Khoảng 2-2.5 phút
I’d like to tell you about Professor Ngo Bao Chau, who is arguably one of Vietnam’s most celebrated intellectuals in the field of mathematics. He’s internationally renowned for winning the Fields Medal in 2010, which is widely regarded as the pinnacle of achievement in mathematics – often described as the Nobel Prize equivalent for mathematicians.
Born in Hanoi in 1972, Professor Ngo showed exceptional mathematical talent from an early age. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Hanoi University of Science before embarking on his doctoral research in France at Paris-Sud University. What truly sets him apart is his groundbreaking work on the Fundamental Lemma, a problem that had baffled mathematicians for over three decades. His proof of this lemma in 2009 was considered a major breakthrough in the Langlands Program, which is one of the most ambitious projects in modern mathematics.
Career-wise, Professor Ngo has had an impressive trajectory. After receiving the Fields Medal, he was appointed as a professor at the University of Chicago, one of the world’s leading research institutions. However, what I find particularly admirable is that he made the decision to return to Vietnam in 2011 to establish and lead the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics. This shows his commitment to giving back to his home country.
I believe Professor Ngo holds tremendous significance for Vietnam for multiple reasons. First and foremost, he’s shattered stereotypes about what Vietnamese people can achieve on the global stage in pure sciences. His success has sparked a renewed interest in mathematics among Vietnamese youth. Moreover, by choosing to invest his time and expertise in developing Vietnam’s mathematical research infrastructure, he’s laying the foundation for future generations of Vietnamese mathematicians. To me, he represents the perfect combination of intellectual excellence and national dedication, which makes him a true role model.

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8.5-9
Thời lượng: 2.5-3 phút đầy đủ
I’d like to speak about Professor Ngo Bao Chau, who is, without a doubt, one of the most distinguished figures in contemporary Vietnamese academia and someone I deeply admire. He’s best known for his groundbreaking contributions to mathematics, particularly for being awarded the Fields Medal in 2010 – widely considered the ultimate accolade in the mathematical world, on par with the Nobel Prize in terms of prestige.
What’s fascinating about Professor Ngo’s journey is that he embodied mathematical brilliance from a remarkably young age. Born in 1972 in Hanoi, he displayed a prodigious aptitude for abstract reasoning during his school years. After laying a solid foundation at Hanoi University of Science, he ventured to France, where he immersed himself in doctoral research at Paris-Sud University under the supervision of Gérard Laumon. The work that catapulted him to international fame was his proof of the Fundamental Lemma, a problem that had eluded the mathematical community for more than 30 years and was considered one of the most formidable challenges in the Langlands Program.
From a career perspective, his trajectory has been nothing short of extraordinary. Following his Fields Medal recognition, he was courted by prestigious institutions worldwide and ultimately accepted a professorship at the University of Chicago. However, what truly speaks volumes about his character is his subsequent decision to return to Vietnam in 2011 to spearhead the establishment of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics. This wasn’t merely a symbolic gesture – he genuinely committed himself to nurturing the next generation of Vietnamese mathematical minds and elevating the country’s position in global mathematics research.
As for why he’s so important to Vietnam, I’d argue it goes far beyond the obvious national pride. Professor Ngo has fundamentally challenged the perception that cutting-edge scientific research is the exclusive domain of Western nations. His achievements have created what I’d call a paradigm shift in how Vietnamese society views pure sciences – suddenly, mathematics isn’t just about solving problems in textbooks; it’s about pushing the boundaries of human knowledge. On a more practical level, the institute he founded has become a magnet for talented students and researchers, both Vietnamese and international, which has catalyzed a small but significant mathematics research ecosystem in Vietnam. What resonates with me personally is that he represents a form of success that’s both globally recognized and deeply rooted in service to one’s country – a rare combination that makes him an exemplary role model for my generation.

Các Câu Hỏi Thảo Luận Sâu
Theme 1: Celebrity Culture and Society
Question 1: Why do people become interested in famous personalities?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Cause/Reason – Tại sao người ta quan tâm đến người nổi tiếng
- Key words: interested, famous personalities
- Cách tiếp cận:
- Direct answer về main reasons
- Develop mỗi reason với explanation
- Examples từ social phenomena
- Có thể mention psychological factors
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
People are interested in famous people for many reasons. First, celebrities are usually talented or successful, so people want to learn from them. Second, following famous people can be entertaining, like watching their movies or listening to their music. Also, some people admire celebrities’ lifestyles and fashion. Young people especially like to follow celebrities on social media to see what they’re doing every day.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Có attempt to organize với First, Second, Also
- Vocabulary: Basic và repetitive (famous people, celebrities, people)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas adequate nhưng not fully developed, lacks depth in analysis, vocabulary functional nhưng không sophisticated
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
Well, I think people’s fascination with famous personalities stems from several interrelated factors. First and foremost, there’s what I’d call the aspirational aspect – celebrities often embody qualities or achievements that ordinary people admire, whether it’s exceptional talent, beauty, or success. They serve as a form of role model or benchmark for what one might achieve.
Beyond that, I’d argue there’s also a psychological component – humans are naturally drawn to stories of remarkable individuals, which is why celebrity culture has existed throughout history, from ancient heroes to modern-day influencers. In today’s context, social media has amplified this phenomenon by creating an illusion of intimacy – people feel they have access to celebrities’ personal lives, which fosters a sense of connection, even if it’s largely one-sided.
On a more societal level, celebrity culture also functions as a form of shared cultural currency – discussing famous people gives individuals common ground for conversation and helps them feel part of a larger community. That said, I think it’s important to acknowledge that this interest can be taken to unhealthy extremes when it becomes obsessive, but in moderation, it’s quite a natural human tendency.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Sophisticated organization: Aspirational aspect → Psychological component → Societal level → Balanced conclusion
- Vocabulary: Advanced và precise (fascination with, stems from, embody, benchmark, amplified, illusion of intimacy, cultural currency)
- Grammar: Complex structures đa dạng (relative clauses, cleft sentences, passive voice, conditionals)
- Critical Thinking: Multi-dimensional analysis với psychological, social, và cultural perspectives, acknowledges nuance với balanced view
💡 Key Language Features:
- Discourse markers: Well, First and foremost, Beyond that, In today’s context, On a more societal level, That said
- Tentative language: I think, I’d argue, I’d call, it’s important to acknowledge
- Abstract nouns: fascination, aspiration, phenomenon, intimacy, currency, tendency
- Academic phrases: stems from, serves as, drawn to, fosters a sense of, can be taken to extremes
Question 2: Do you think famous people have a responsibility to be good role models?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Opinion – Có hay không, và tại sao
- Key words: responsibility, good role models
- Cách tiếp cận:
- State your position clearly
- Discuss both sides của argument
- Give reasons and examples
- Conclude with nuanced view
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
I think famous people should be good role models because many people, especially young people, look up to them. When celebrities do bad things, it can influence their fans negatively. For example, if a famous singer uses drugs, their young fans might think it’s okay. However, I also think celebrities are human and they have the right to make mistakes like everyone else.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Has opinion → reason → example → counterpoint, but basic
- Vocabulary: Simple (bad things, look up to, make mistakes)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Communicates ideas but lacks sophistication, argument không được fully developed
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
This is quite a contentious issue, and I’d say my view falls somewhere in the middle. On the one hand, I do believe that with great influence comes great responsibility – when someone has millions of followers, particularly impressionable young people, they inevitably wield significant power to shape attitudes and behaviors. We’ve seen countless examples where high-profile figures have used their platform to champion important causes like mental health awareness or environmental protection, and the positive impact has been undeniable.
On the other hand, I think we need to be careful not to place unrealistic expectations on celebrities. They’re ultimately human beings who deserve the freedom to live their lives and make mistakes without being held to impossibly high standards. The problem, I think, arises when society conflates fame with moral authority – just because someone is talented at acting or sports doesn’t automatically make them qualified to be a moral compass.
What I would argue is that celebrities should, at minimum, be mindful of their influence and try not to actively promote harmful behaviors. But expecting them to be paragons of virtue in every aspect of their lives seems both unrealistic and unfair. Perhaps what’s more important is teaching young people critical thinking skills so they can admire celebrities’ talents without blindly emulating every aspect of their lifestyle. It’s really about striking a balance between acknowledging influence and respecting personal autonomy.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Exemplary organization: Balanced argument với both sides thoroughly developed → nuanced conclusion → practical suggestion
- Vocabulary: Sophisticated (contentious, impressionable, wield, champion, conflates, paragons of virtue, emulating, autonomy)
- Grammar: Full range including inversion (comes great responsibility), complex conditionals, cleft sentences (What I would argue, It’s really about)
- Critical Thinking: Demonstrates ability to see multiple perspectives, acknowledges complexity, proposes practical solution
💡 Key Language Features:
- Discourse markers: On the one hand, On the other hand, What I would argue, Perhaps what’s more important, It’s really about
- Tentative language: I’d say, I think, seems, I would argue
- Abstract vocabulary: contentious issue, moral authority, critical thinking skills, personal autonomy
- Sophisticated phrases: falls somewhere in the middle, wield significant power, held to impossibly high standards, striking a balance
Question 3: How has social media changed the way people become famous?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Compare/Change – So sánh quá khứ và hiện tại
- Key words: social media, changed, become famous
- Cách tiếp cận:
- Contrast past vs present
- Explain specific changes
- Discuss implications
- Examples of both traditional and social media fame
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
Social media has changed fame a lot. In the past, people became famous through TV, movies, or music. Now, anyone can become famous on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. You don’t need a big company to help you. Many young people become influencers by posting videos. It’s easier and faster to become famous now, but maybe this kind of fame doesn’t last as long as traditional fame.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Has comparison (past vs now) và mentions implications
- Vocabulary: Basic (a lot, big company, easier, faster)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas present nhưng not deeply analyzed, lacks specific terminology về social media impact
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
Social media has fundamentally revolutionized the pathways to fame, creating what I’d call a democratization of celebrity. Traditionally, becoming famous was tightly controlled by gatekeepers – you needed to be discovered by talent scouts, signed by major labels, or cast by film studios. The process was highly selective and often required years of working your way up through established hierarchies.
In contrast, social media has dismantled these barriers, enabling virtually anyone with a smartphone and creativity to build an audience directly. We’ve witnessed the rise of what are called “micro-celebrities” or “influencers” who’ve cultivated massive followings without any traditional media backing. Take someone like Emma Chamberlain, who went from being an unknown teenager making bedroom vlogs to a globally recognized figure with millions of followers – a trajectory that would have been virtually impossible in the pre-digital era.
However, this transformation is a double-edged sword. While social media has leveled the playing field in terms of access, it’s also created a saturated market where standing out is incredibly challenging. The barrier to entry may be lower, but the barrier to sustainability is perhaps higher. Moreover, social media fame often lacks the longevity of traditional celebrity – it’s based on constant engagement and algorithm favoritism, which can be notoriously fickle. A viral moment can catapult someone to fame overnight, but maintaining that relevance requires relentless content creation.
What’s particularly interesting is that we’re now seeing a convergence – traditional celebrities are leveraging social media to maintain relevance, while social media stars are crossing over into traditional media. This blurring of boundaries suggests that the future of fame will likely be hybrid, requiring both digital savvy and traditional skills.
Phân tích:

Theme 2: Fame and Personal Life
Question 1: What are the advantages and disadvantages of being famous?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Compare pros and cons
- Key words: advantages, disadvantages, being famous
- Cách tiếp cận:
- Discuss advantages first with examples
- Then discuss disadvantages
- Balance the two sides
- Personal reflection or conclusion
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
Being famous has both good and bad sides. The advantages are that famous people earn a lot of money and can influence many people. They also get free things and special treatment. But there are disadvantages too. Famous people don’t have privacy because paparazzi follow them everywhere. They also face a lot of criticism on social media. Some famous people feel stressed and lonely because they can’t trust people around them.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Simple comparison format với advantages rồi disadvantages
- Vocabulary: Basic (good and bad sides, a lot of money, free things)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas covered but superficial, lacks depth và specific examples
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
Well, fame is undoubtedly a mixed blessing with significant trade-offs on both sides. On the positive side, the most obvious benefit is financial prosperity – celebrities typically enjoy lucrative career opportunities, endorsement deals, and the ability to monetize their influence in ways that would be unthinkable for ordinary individuals. Beyond the financial aspect, fame also provides a powerful platform to effect change – we’ve seen how figures like Leonardo DiCaprio have leveraged their celebrity status to raise awareness about climate change, reaching audiences that traditional activists might never access.
However, these advantages come with substantial costs. Perhaps the most profound is the erosion of privacy – every aspect of a celebrity’s life becomes subject to public scrutiny, from their relationships to their personal struggles. This constant surveillance can be psychologically taxing, and we’ve witnessed tragic cases where the pressure has led to mental health crises. There’s also what I’d call the “authenticity paradox” – the more famous you become, the harder it is to discern genuine relationships from those motivated by ulterior motives, which can lead to profound isolation despite being constantly surrounded by people.
Moreover, there’s the issue of perpetual judgment – celebrities are held accountable not just for their professional work but for virtually every opinion they express or action they take. One misstep can result in severe backlash and even career-ending consequences, which creates an environment of constant anxiety.
In my view, whether fame is worth it depends largely on the individual’s personality and what they hope to achieve. For those with a genuine desire to make an impact and the resilience to handle public pressure, it can be a powerful tool. But for those who stumble into fame without preparation or support systems, it can be overwhelmingly destructive. Ideally, we as a society should work on creating a healthier celebrity culture that respects boundaries while still allowing for public engagement.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Sophisticated với clear advantages → substantial disadvantages với specific categories → personal reflection với nuanced conclusion
- Vocabulary: Highly advanced (mixed blessing, lucrative, monetize, erosion of privacy, psychologically taxing, authenticity paradox, ulterior motives, perpetual judgment, misstep, backlash)
- Grammar: Full range including perfect passives, complex conditionals, relative clauses embedded naturally

Question 2: Do you think children of famous people have an easier or more difficult life?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Opinion with comparison
- Key words: children of famous people, easier or more difficult
- Cách tiếp cận:
- State position (easier, more difficult, hoặc mixed)
- Explain các advantages they have
- Explain các challenges they face
- Nuanced conclusion
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
I think children of famous people have both easier and more difficult lives. It’s easier because they have money and good education. They can also become famous more easily because of their parents’ connections. But it’s more difficult because people always compare them to their parents. They also don’t have a normal childhood and might have problems with their identity. The media also watches them all the time, which is stressful.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Balanced view nhưng basic
- Vocabulary: Simple (money, good education, normal childhood)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas present nhưng lacks sophisticated analysis và specific examples
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
This is a really nuanced question, and I’d argue it’s not simply a matter of easier or harder – it’s fundamentally different, with unique advantages and challenges that most of us can’t truly relate to. Let me break this down.
On one hand, these children are undeniably born with considerable privileges. They typically have access to elite education, extensive professional networks through their parents, and financial security that shields them from many of life’s ordinary struggles. If they choose to pursue careers in their parents’ fields – whether entertainment, sports, or business – they often benefit from what sociologists call “inherited social capital,” which can fast-track their entry into these industries. We see this with people like Brooklyn Beckham or Willow Smith, who’ve had opportunities that would be utterly inaccessible to their peers.
However, I think we often overlook the psychological burden these advantages carry. These children grow up in what I’d describe as a “gilded cage” – they’re afforded material comfort but denied the anonymity and normalcy that are crucial for healthy development. They face what psychologists call “identity foreclosure” – society often reduces them to being “so-and-so’s son or daughter” rather than allowing them to forge their own identity. The weight of expectations can be crushing – they’re simultaneously expected to live up to their parents’ achievements while also proving they’re not just riding on coattails.
What’s particularly challenging is the lack of privacy from birth – their childhood mistakes and awkward phases, which all of us experience, are documented and scrutinized publicly. This constant exposure can impede natural development and exacerbate issues like anxiety and depression. We’ve seen tragic examples, like the struggles of many child stars, that underscore the psychological toll this lifestyle can exact.
In essence, I’d say their life isn’t necessarily easier or harder – it’s qualitatively different with a unique set of privileges and pressures that require different coping mechanisms. What matters most is having strong family support and professional guidance to navigate these unique challenges while capitalizing on the opportunities.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Exemplary organization: Framing the complexity → Advantages với social theory → Psychological challenges với specific concepts → Examples → Nuanced synthesis
- Vocabulary: Academic and sophisticated (nuanced, inherited social capital, identity foreclosure, gilded cage, riding on coattails, qualitatively different, coping mechanisms)
- Grammar: Full mastery với passive constructions, complex nominalizations, embedded clauses

Theme 3: Cultural Impact and Future
Question 1: How do famous personalities influence young people’s career choices?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Cause and Effect – How celebrities influence career decisions
- Key words: influence, young people, career choices
- Cách tiếp cận:
- Explain mechanisms của influence
- Give examples of specific influences
- Discuss both positive and negative impacts
- Consider societal implications
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
Famous people have a big influence on young people’s career choices. When young people see successful celebrities, they want to be like them. For example, many young people want to become YouTubers or influencers because they see famous people making money from social media. Sports stars also inspire young people to play sports professionally. However, this can be problematic because not everyone can become famous, and young people might choose unrealistic careers.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Has influence → example → problem, but basic development
- Vocabulary: Simple (big influence, making money, problematic)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas adequate nhưng lacks analytical depth và sophisticated vocabulary
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
Famous personalities exert considerable influence on young people’s career aspirations through several interconnected mechanisms. First and foremost, they serve as tangible proof that certain career paths are viable and rewarding – when young people see someone like Ronaldo achieving global success through football or Mark Zuckerberg revolutionizing technology, these figures embody the possibility of extraordinary achievement in fields that might otherwise seem out of reach.
The psychological mechanism at play here is what researchers call “social modeling” – young people vicariously experience success through their idols and begin to envision themselves following similar trajectories. Social media has amplified this effect exponentially by providing intimate glimpses into celebrities’ lives, making their success feel more attainable and their career paths more transparent. We see this particularly with the explosion of interest in careers like content creation, professional gaming, or social media management – fields that barely existed a decade ago but have been legitimized by successful influencers and streamers.
However, this influence is a double-edged sword. On the positive side, celebrity inspiration can ignite genuine passion and motivate young people to pursue excellence in fields they’re truly interested in. Athletes like Serena Williams have inspired countless young girls to take up tennis, while scientists like Neil deGrasse Tyson have made astrophysics seem accessible and exciting to a new generation.
Conversely, there’s a risk of what I’d call “glamour bias” – young people may be drawn to the visible rewards of fame (wealth, recognition, lifestyle) without fully understanding the grueling work, natural talent, and often sheer luck required to achieve such success. This can lead to disillusionment when reality doesn’t match expectations, or worse, cause young people to neglect more stable career paths that might actually be better suited to their skills and circumstances.
What’s particularly concerning is the narrowing effect this can have – when certain careers are disproportionately glamorized, it can steer young people away from equally important but less visible professions like teaching, nursing, or skilled trades, which society desperately needs. Moving forward, I think it’s crucial that we expose young people to a diverse array of role models across various fields, not just those in the celebrity spotlight, to help them make well-informed and realistic career decisions.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Outstanding organization: Mechanisms of influence với theory → Social media amplification → Positive impacts → Negative impacts → Societal concerns → Forward-looking recommendation
- Vocabulary: Highly sophisticated (exert influence, interconnected mechanisms, tangible proof, vicariously experience, legitimized, glamour bias, grueling work, disillusionment, disproportionately glamorized)
- Grammar: Full mastery với complex nominalizations, passive constructions, conditionals, relative clauses seamlessly integrated
- Critical Thinking: Exceptional analysis với psychological theory, balanced evaluation, societal implications, constructive suggestions
💡 Key Language Features:
- Discourse markers: First and foremost, However, On the positive side, Conversely, What’s particularly concerning, Moving forward
- Tentative language: I’d call, I think, may be drawn to, can lead to
- Academic vocabulary: mechanisms, social modeling, amplified, legitimized, disillusionment, disproportionately
- Sophisticated phrases: double-edged sword, glamour bias, narrowing effect, well-informed decisions, expose to diverse array
Question 2: Do you think the definition of “famous” will change in the future?
🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:
- Dạng: Prediction/Speculation about future
- Key words: definition, famous, change, future
- Cách tiếp cận:
- Discuss current understanding of fame
- Predict how it might evolve
- Explain factors driving change
- Consider technological and social trends
📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:
Yes, I think the meaning of famous will change in the future. Now, famous people are usually actors, singers, or athletes. But in the future, I think more people will become famous through the internet and social media. Also, AI and virtual influencers might become popular. Fame might become more temporary because people’s attention spans are getting shorter. Maybe everyone will be famous for a short time on social media.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Has prediction với some reasoning
- Vocabulary: Basic (more people, become famous, popular, short time)
- Tại sao Band 6-7: Ideas present nhưng lacks depth in speculation và sophisticated vocabulary for discussing trends
📝 Câu trả lời mẫu – Band 8-9:
Absolutely, and I think we’re already witnessing the early stages of this transformation. The traditional paradigm of fame – which revolved around mass media recognition and required substantial reach across diverse demographics – is giving way to something more fragmented and niche-oriented.
Looking ahead, I’d predict several key shifts. First, we’ll likely see the continued rise of what academics call “micro-fame” or “nano-influencers” – individuals who are extraordinarily well-known within specific communities but virtually unknown outside them. Think of someone who’s revered within the competitive gaming community or the sustainable fashion niche but wouldn’t be recognized on the street. This represents a fundamental departure from the universal celebrity model where someone like Michael Jackson was known across generations and geographies.
Secondly, I anticipate fame becoming increasingly ephemeral and algorithmically driven. The concept that Andy Warhol articulated about everyone having “15 minutes of fame” is becoming reality, but it’s more like 15 seconds of viral attention in today’s hyper-accelerated information environment. The metrics of fame are shifting from longevity and broad recognition to viral moments and engagement rates, which are inherently unstable and constantly fluctuating.
Perhaps most intriguingly, we’re on the cusp of what I’d call “synthetic celebrity” – AI-generated or virtual influencers like Lil Miquela who have millions of followers despite not being real people. This challenges our fundamental understanding of fame as something predicated on human achievement and talent. If AI can generate a “celebrity” complete with personality, opinions, and content, what does that mean for the value we place on fame?
Moreover, I think the democratization of fame through social media will continue to erode the mystique that once surrounded celebrities. When everyone has access to the same content creation tools and platforms, fame becomes less about being extraordinary and more about being strategically visible. This might lead to fame becoming devalued as a concept – if everyone can be “famous” to some audience, does the term retain meaning?
Ultimately, I believe “famous” will evolve from meaning “universally recognized” to something more like “influential within one’s domain.” We might need entirely new terminology to distinguish between different types and scales of recognition. It’s fascinating to consider how this shift will impact society’s values – will we place less emphasis on celebrity worship and more on substantive contributions, or will we simply fragment into countless micro-celebrity cultures? Only time will tell, but the transformation is undoubtedly well underway.
Phân tích:
- Structure: Exceptional organization: Current transformation → Prediction 1 (micro-fame) → Prediction 2 (ephemeral fame) → Prediction 3 (synthetic celebrity) → Democratization impact → Thoughtful conclusion với broader implications
- Vocabulary: Highly sophisticated academic vocabulary (paradigm, fragmented, niche-oriented, ephemeral, algorithmically driven, articulated, inherently unstable, on the cusp of, predicated on, mystique, devalued)
- Grammar: Full mastery với complex structures including conditionals, passive voice, nominalizations, embedded clauses
- Critical Thinking: Outstanding với multiple predictions grounded in current trends, references to theory (Andy Warhol), considers technological và social implications, poses thought-provoking questions
💡 Key Language Features:
- Discourse markers: Looking ahead, Secondly, Perhaps most intriguingly, Moreover, Ultimately, It’s fascinating, Only time will tell
- Speculative language: I’d predict, I anticipate, I believe, might lead to, will evolve
- Academic vocabulary: paradigm, transformation, fragmented, ephemeral, algorithmically driven, mystique, democratization
- Sophisticated phrases: early stages, giving way to, fundamental departure from, on the cusp of, predicated on, retain meaning, well underway

- Over-reliance on basic words: very, good, nice, important
- Direct translation từ tiếng Việt: “He is very famous” (quá đơn giản)
- Không sử dụng collocations: “make influence” → “have influence” hoặc “exert influence”
- Misuse of words: “He makes charity” → “He does charity work”
Fix: Learn collocations trong context, không học từ riêng lẻ
4. Content problems:
- Không develop ideas đủ sâu
- Examples quá vague: “He helps people” (helps how? who? when?)
- Lack of personal opinion trong Part 3
- Không answer đúng câu hỏi, đi lạc topic
Fix: Practice IDEA method – Introduce, Develop, Example, Analyze
5. Fluency issues:
- Too many fillers: “um”, “uh”, “like”
- Long awkward pauses
- False starts và self-corrections quá nhiều
- Speaking too fast và losing clarity
Fix: Practice regularly, focus on thinking time during 1-minute preparation (Part 2)
