I’d like to talk about my trip to Dalat, which is a city in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. I went there last December with my family during the winter holiday.

Before going, I expected it to be just a normal mountain city with cool weather. My friends told me it was cold and had many flowers, so I thought it would be nice but nothing special. I had seen some pictures online, but they looked quite ordinary to me.

However, when I arrived there, I was really surprised. The city was much more beautiful than I thought. The weather was perfect – cool but not too cold. There were flowers everywhere, not just in a few places like I expected. The French colonial architecture was amazing, and I didn’t expect to see so many old villas and buildings.

What really exceeded my expectations was the food. I tried many local dishes that I had never heard of before, like banh trang nuong and artichoke tea. They were delicious. The night market was also very lively and fun.

The atmosphere of the whole city was very peaceful and romantic. It felt different from other Vietnamese cities. I could walk around the lake in the evening and enjoy the fresh air. My family and I had a great time taking photos and visiting different attractions.

This place exceeded my expectations because it offered much more than just nice weather and flowers. It had unique food, beautiful architecture, and a special atmosphere that made me want to stay longer.

Sample Answer – Band 7.5-8

Thời lượng: Khoảng 2-2.5 phút

I’d like to share my experience visiting Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh Province, which I visited last April. This trip was particularly memorable because it completely shattered my preconceptions about what to expect.

Before the visit, I’ll be honest – my expectations were quite modest. I’d heard it was home to some caves, but I naively assumed it would be similar to other tourist-oriented cave systems I’d been to before. I pictured commercialized attractions with artificial lighting and crowds of tourists. Based on the photos I’d seen online, I thought it would be interesting enough for a day trip, but nothing extraordinary.

The reality, however, was mind-blowing. From the moment I entered Paradise Cave, I was awestruck by the sheer scale and magnificence of the limestone formations. The cave stretched for over 30 kilometers, and what I saw was just a small portion. The natural stalactites and stalagmites looked like they’d been sculpted by a master artist, with some formations resembling everything from jellyfish to palace pillars.

What truly exceeded my expectations was the pristine condition of these caves. Unlike the commercial caves I’d visited before, Phong Nha’s caves maintained their natural beauty without excessive human intervention. The park also offered adventure activities like cave trekking and kayaking through underground rivers, which I hadn’t anticipated at all.

Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the ecological diversity of the surrounding area. The dense jungle, the crystal-clear rivers, and the abundant wildlife created an almost otherworldly atmosphere. Our guide explained that many species there are endemic and rarely found elsewhere.

The reason this place exceeded my expectations so dramatically was the combination of raw natural beauty, well-preserved ecosystems, and the sense of genuine adventure it offered. It wasn’t just about seeing something beautiful – it was about experiencing something truly authentic and humbling. I left feeling like I’d discovered a hidden treasure that few people fully appreciate.

Sample Answer – Band 8.5-9

Thời lượng: 2.5-3 phút đầy đủ

I’d like to tell you about my visit to Ha Giang Province in the far north of Vietnam, which I undertook in October two years ago. This journey turned out to be nothing short of transformative, far surpassing anything I could have imagined.

Prior to the trip, I’ll admit my expectations were somewhat superficial. I’d been bombarded with Instagram-perfect images of the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass and the terraced rice fields, and while I anticipated scenic beauty, I half-expected it to be one of those places that looks better in photographs than in reality. I also harbored concerns about it being overrun with tourists, which would diminish the authenticity of the experience. Essentially, I was bracing myself for a pleasant but potentially underwhelming weekend getaway.

The reality couldn’t have been more different. What struck me immediately was the raw, untamed beauty of the landscape. The winding mountain roads carved through towering limestone peaks that seemed to pierce the clouds. But it wasn’t just the visual spectacle – it was the overwhelming sense of remoteness and the feeling of being utterly dwarfed by nature’s grandeur. I remember standing at the panoramic viewpoint of Ma Pi Leng Pass, literally speechless, as I gazed down into the Nho Que River valley thousands of feet below, its turquoise waters snaking through the gorge like a silk ribbon.

However, what truly elevated this experience beyond my wildest expectations wasn’t just the scenery – it was the profound cultural immersion. I had the privilege of staying with a local H’mong family in a traditional stilt house, and this opened my eyes to a way of life that felt worlds apart from modern Vietnam. The genuine warmth and hospitality of these people, despite the language barrier and our vastly different lifestyles, was deeply moving. I participated in their daily routines – harvesting corn, preparing traditional meals, and even joining them in their evening folk music sessions.

What really resonated with me was witnessing how these communities have managed to preserve their cultural identity and traditional practices in the face of rapid modernization. The intricate hand-embroidered textiles, the age-old farming techniques adapted to the challenging terrain, and the strong sense of community all spoke to a resilience and richness that you simply can’t capture in a photograph.

The experience exceeded my expectations because it transcended mere sightseeing and became a humbling lesson in perspective. It challenged my assumptions about what constitutes a meaningful travel experience and reminded me that the most memorable journeys are those that touch you on a human level, not just aesthetically. I left Ha Giang feeling not just fulfilled, but genuinely changed – with a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and a renewed sense of gratitude for the opportunities I have. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve returned home, and I find myself constantly reflecting on those few days whenever life feels overwhelming.

Nếu bạn muốn tìm hiểu thêm về cách kể về trải nghiệm du lịch ấn tượng, bạn có thể tham khảo describe a time when you visited a foreign country để mở rộng vốn ý tưởng và từ vựng liên quan.

Follow-up Questions (Rounding Off Questions)

Question 1: Would you like to visit that place again?

Band 6-7 Answer:
Yes, definitely. I really enjoyed it and I think I would discover more interesting things if I go back there again.

Band 8-9 Answer:
Absolutely! In fact, I’ve been planning a return trip for quite some time now. I feel like I only scratched the surface during my first visit, and there are countless hidden trails and remote villages I’d love to explore. Plus, I’d like to witness the landscape in a different season to appreciate its seasonal transformations.

Question 2: Do you think other people would enjoy it as much as you did?

Band 6-7 Answer:
I think it depends on the person. People who like nature and adventure would probably enjoy it, but it might not be suitable for everyone.

Band 8-9 Answer:
That’s an interesting question. I’d say it appeals to a particular type of traveler – those who value authentic experiences over comfort and who have a genuine appreciation for cultural diversity. It’s certainly not for the luxury resort crowd or people seeking Instagram-worthy shots alone. However, for adventurous souls who are open to stepping outside their bubble, I believe it would be equally impactful, if not more so.

Các Câu Hỏi Thảo Luận Sâu

Theme 1: Tourism Development and Its Impact

Question 1: How has tourism changed in your country over the past few decades?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Compare and contrast (past vs present)
  • Key words: tourism, changed, past few decades
  • Cách tiếp cận: Nêu 2-3 major changes với specific examples, kết thúc với overall assessment

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

Tourism in Vietnam has changed a lot in recent years. In the past, not many foreigners visited Vietnam, but now millions of tourists come every year. The government has built more hotels and improved the infrastructure. Many new tourist attractions have opened. This has brought more money to the country and created jobs for local people. However, some places have become too crowded with tourists.

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

Well, the transformation has been quite remarkable, to say the least. If we cast our minds back to the 1990s, Vietnam was still relatively off the beaten track for international travelers, primarily attracting intrepid backpackers and those with a keen interest in war history. Fast forward to today, and we’ve witnessed a dramatic surge in tourist arrivals, with the country welcoming upwards of 18 million visitors annually pre-pandemic.

This growth has been accompanied by substantial infrastructure development – we’ve seen the proliferation of international airports, the expansion of hotel chains, and the emergence of world-class resorts, particularly in coastal areas like Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. There’s also been a noticeable shift in the type of tourism we’re attracting. While cultural and historical tourism remains important, there’s been a growing emphasis on eco-tourism, adventure tourism, and wellness tourism.

However, this rapid expansion hasn’t been without its drawbacks. Popular destinations like Ha Long Bay and Hoi An have experienced over-tourism, leading to environmental degradation and a dilution of authentic cultural experiences. The challenge now is striking a balance between capitalizing on tourism revenue and preserving the very assets that make these places attractive in the first place.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Well-organized: past situation → present development → shift in tourism types → challenges
  • Vocabulary: Precise và sophisticated (cast our minds back, off the beaten track, dramatic surge, proliferation, drawbacks, over-tourism, environmental degradation, dilution)
  • Grammar: Complex với inversion (Fast forward to today), relative clauses, gerunds, present perfect
  • Critical Thinking: Balanced view acknowledging both positive developments và concerns

💡 Key Language Features:

  • Discourse markers: “Well”, “Fast forward to”, “However”
  • Tentative language: “quite remarkable”, “relatively off the beaten track”
  • Abstract nouns: transformation, proliferation, expansion, degradation, dilution
  • Collocations: dramatic surge, substantial infrastructure development, striking a balance

Question 2: Why do you think some tourist destinations become overcrowded?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Cause and Effect
  • Key words: tourist destinations, overcrowded, why

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

I think there are several reasons. First, social media makes some places very popular because people see beautiful photos and want to visit. Second, these places are usually easy to reach and have good facilities. Also, travel companies promote these destinations a lot, so more people know about them. When one place becomes famous, everyone wants to go there.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: List of reasons với brief explanation

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

That’s a multifaceted issue, actually. I’d say the primary culprit is the social media effect – platforms like Instagram and TikTok have created what I’d call “viral destinations”. When a location becomes Instagrammable, it experiences an exponential increase in visitor numbers as everyone wants to capture that perfect shot. This herd mentality is further amplified by influencer culture, where popular content creators can single-handedly put a place on the map.

Another contributing factor is the concentration of marketing efforts. Tourism boards and travel agencies tend to heavily promote a handful of flagship attractions because they’re easier to sell and guarantee visitor satisfaction. This creates a self-perpetuating cycle where these places receive more investment, better infrastructure, and consequently more visitors, while lesser-known but equally worthy destinations remain underutilized.

Additionally, there’s a lack of visitor management strategies in many emerging destinations. Unlike places like Machu Picchu, which has implemented strict visitor quotas, many Asian tourist spots have been slow to adopt sustainable tourism practices. There’s often a short-term focus on revenue generation rather than long-term sustainability, which inevitably leads to overcrowding and deterioration.

I’d also argue that limited annual leave and synchronized holiday periods in many countries exacerbate the problem. When everyone has time off during the same weeks, particularly around major holidays like Lunar New Year, it creates peak demand periods that strain the capacity of popular destinations.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Well-organized với multiple causes: social media effect → marketing concentration → lack of management → synchronized holidays
  • Vocabulary: Sophisticated (multifaceted, viral destinations, herd mentality, self-perpetuating cycle, underutilized, exacerbate, strain capacity)
  • Grammar: Complex structures với passive voice, relative clauses, cleft sentences
  • Critical Thinking: Multiple perspectives với specific examples (Machu Picchu), shows depth of understanding

💡 Key Language Features:

  • Discourse markers: “Actually”, “Another contributing factor”, “Additionally”, “I’d also argue that”
  • Hedging: “I’d say”, “I’d call”, “tend to”
  • Cause-effect language: “leads to”, “creates”, “amplified by”, “exacerbate”

Theme 2: Expectations vs Reality in Travel

Question 3: Do you think people’s expectations of travel are often unrealistic? Why?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Opinion với reasoning
  • Key words: expectations, travel, unrealistic, why
  • Cách tiếp cận: State opinion → reasons → examples → conclusion/nuance

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

Yes, I think many people have unrealistic expectations when they travel. This is because they see perfect pictures on social media and in advertisements. They expect everything to be beautiful and perfect, but reality is often different. Weather can be bad, places can be crowded, and things don’t always go as planned. I think people should be more realistic and prepare for problems.

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

To a large extent, yes, though I’d say the situation is more nuanced than a simple yes or no. I think we’re living in an era of curated reality, where what we see online represents a highly filtered version of actual experiences. Travel influencers and tourism marketing present an idealized narrative that often glosses over the mundane realities – the long queues, the underwhelming food, the weather disappointments, and the tourist traps.

What strikes me as particularly problematic is that many travelers approach their trips with a checklist mentality, viewing destinations as boxes to tick rather than places to genuinely experience. They’re so fixated on replicating that perfect sunset photo they saw online that they miss out on the spontaneous moments and unexpected discoveries that often make travel truly memorable.

That said, I don’t think we can lay all the blame on travelers themselves. The tourism industry has a vested interest in maintaining these illusions because disillusionment doesn’t sell packages. There’s also a psychological aspect – humans naturally engage in anticipatory pleasure, and building up expectations is part of what makes travel exciting. The key is managing those expectations while still preserving the sense of wonder.

Interestingly, I’ve noticed a counter-trend emerging among more seasoned travelers who actively seek out authentic, unpolished experiences. They’re gravitating towards slower travel, homestays, and off-the-beaten-path destinations precisely because they’ve become disillusioned with the Instagram-perfect travel formula. So perhaps there’s hope for a more realistic paradigm going forward.

Theme 3: Cultural Impact and Preservation

Question 4: How can tourism affect local cultures and traditions?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Cause and Effect (positive and negative impacts)
  • Key words: tourism, affect, local cultures, traditions
  • Cách tiếp cận: Acknowledge both positive và negative effects, provide balanced view

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

Tourism can affect local cultures in both good and bad ways. On the positive side, it can help preserve traditions because tourists want to see traditional dances, crafts, and festivals. This gives local people a reason to keep their culture alive. Tourism also brings money that can be used to maintain historical sites.

On the negative side, some cultures change to please tourists. Traditional ceremonies might become just shows for entertainment. Local people might lose their authentic way of life because they focus too much on tourism. Sometimes, traditional crafts become mass-produced souvenirs with lower quality.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Balanced với positive và negative effects
  • Vocabulary: Adequate với some topic-specific terms (preserve traditions, historical sites, authentic way of life)

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

This is a double-edged sword, really. On one hand, tourism can serve as a powerful catalyst for cultural preservation. When there’s economic incentive to maintain traditions, communities are more likely to safeguard their intangible cultural heritage – whether that’s traditional crafts, performing arts, or culinary practices. I’ve seen examples where dying art forms have been revitalized precisely because tourists value authenticity and are willing to pay for genuine cultural experiences. Tourism revenue can also fund the restoration of historical sites and support cultural institutions like museums and heritage centers.

However, the flip side is what anthropologists call “cultural commodification” – where traditions become mere spectacles staged for tourist consumption. Sacred rituals might be performed out of context, stripped of their spiritual significance, and reduced to entertainment. This performative aspect can erode the authentic meaning of cultural practices. There’s also the homogenization effect – where local cultures adopt globalized tastes to cater to international visitors, leading to what we might call “cultural dilution”.

A particularly concerning trend is the displacement of traditional communities from tourist hotspots due to rising property values and gentrification. Venice is a stark example – the historic center has become essentially a living museum where locals can barely afford to live, and the community fabric has been irreversibly altered.

I’d argue that the impact largely depends on how tourism is managed. Community-based tourism initiatives that empower local residents and give them agency over how their culture is presented tend to result in more sustainable outcomes. Similarly, educational tourism that fosters genuine cultural exchange rather than superficial observation can actually enrich both visitors and hosts.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Exceptionally well-organized: positive impacts → negative impacts (commodification, homogenization, displacement) → management strategies
  • Vocabulary: Sophisticated academic language (double-edged sword, catalyst, intangible cultural heritage, commodification, gentrification, homogenization)
  • Grammar: Advanced structures with passive voice, relative clauses, participle phrases
  • Critical Thinking: Deep analysis với anthropological concepts, specific example (Venice), solutions-oriented

💡 Key Language Features:

  • Metaphorical language: “double-edged sword”, “living museum”
  • Academic terminology: cultural commodification, homogenization, gentrification
  • Contrasting structures: “On one hand… However, the flip side”
  • Emphasizing phrases: “A particularly concerning trend”, “a stark example”

Question 5: What can governments do to manage the negative effects of tourism?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Problem-Solution
  • Key words: governments, manage, negative effects, tourism

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

Governments can do many things to control tourism problems. First, they can limit the number of visitors to popular places by requiring tickets or permits. Second, they should invest in infrastructure in other areas to spread tourists to different locations. They can also create rules to protect the environment and cultural sites. Education is important too – teaching tourists to respect local customs and nature. Finally, governments should work with local communities to make sure tourism benefits everyone.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: List of solutions với brief explanations

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

This requires a multi-pronged approach, I believe. First and foremost, governments need to implement robust carrying capacity frameworks for sensitive destinations. This means conducting thorough environmental impact assessments and establishing visitor quotas based on what a location can sustainably support. Bhutan’s model of “high value, low volume” tourism is instructive here – they charge a substantial daily fee that filters for quality over quantity and funds conservation efforts.

Equally crucial is strategic infrastructure development aimed at dispersing tourist flows. Rather than all investment going to already-popular sites, governments should identify and develop alternative destinations with comparable appeal. This requires coordinated marketing efforts to shift tourist perceptions and create new travel circuits. Vietnam, for instance, could better promote the Central Highlands or the Mekong Delta to relieve pressure on Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

From a regulatory standpoint, governments must enforce stricter environmental protection laws and penalize violations. This includes regulating construction near heritage sites, controlling waste management, and mandating sustainable practices for tourism businesses. Thailand’s recent closure of Maya Bay for ecological recovery demonstrates the kind of decisive action needed when damage becomes severe.

Community engagement is another critical pillar. Policies should ensure that local communities have a stake in tourism development through revenue-sharing schemes, preferential hiring, and meaningful consultation in planning processes. When residents benefit economically and feel a sense of ownership, they become natural stewards of their own heritage.

Lastly, I’d emphasize the role of education – both for tourists and locals. Pre-arrival orientation programs, on-site interpretation, and penalties for disrespectful behavior can shape visitor conduct. Simultaneously, capacity building programs for local communities can help them navigate the tourism economy without compromising their cultural identity.

The challenge, of course, is that these measures often require political will and short-term economic sacrifice for long-term sustainability – something that’s politically difficult in countries where tourism is a major revenue source.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Comprehensive với multiple solutions: carrying capacity → infrastructure development → regulation → community engagement → education → acknowledgment of challenges
  • Vocabulary: Policy-oriented và sophisticated (multi-pronged approach, carrying capacity frameworks, dispersing tourist flows, revenue-sharing schemes, capacity building)
  • Grammar: Advanced structures với participle phrases, relative clauses, passive constructions
  • Critical Thinking: Practical solutions với real examples (Bhutan, Thailand’s Maya Bay), acknowledges implementation challenges

💡 Key Language Features:

  • Sequencing: “First and foremost”, “Equally crucial”, “From a regulatory standpoint”, “Lastly”
  • Policy language: implement frameworks, establish quotas, enforce laws, mandate practices
  • Hedging and emphasis: “I believe”, “demonstrates the kind of”, “I’d emphasize”

Theme 4: Future of Travel

Question 6: How do you think travel will change in the future?

🎯 Phân tích câu hỏi:

  • Dạng: Prediction/Speculation about future
  • Key words: travel, change, future

📝 Sample Answer – Band 6-7:

I think travel will become more technology-based in the future. Virtual reality might allow people to experience places without actually going there. Flying will probably be faster and more convenient. Environmental concerns will make people choose more eco-friendly travel options. Also, space tourism might become possible for more people, not just the very rich. Hotels will use more technology like robots and automatic check-in.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: List of predictions về different aspects
  • Vocabulary: Basic tech terms (virtual reality, eco-friendly, automatic)

📝 Sample Answer – Band 8-9:

That’s a fascinating question to contemplate. I suspect we’re on the cusp of some quite radical transformations in how we approach travel. From a technological standpoint, I envision increasingly seamless experiences facilitated by AI and biometrics – imagine walking through airports without ever showing documents because facial recognition handles everything automatically. Augmented reality could fundamentally alter how we experience destinations, providing real-time historical context or language translation overlays as we explore.

However, I think the most profound shift will be driven by environmental consciousness. Climate change is already forcing a reckoning in the travel industry. We’ll likely see a significant decline in short-haul flights as high-speed rail networks expand and carbon taxes make flying less economically attractive. Slow travel and regenerative tourism – where visitors actively contribute to destination improvement – will probably transition from niche concepts to mainstream expectations.

The pandemic has also accelerated the normalization of remote work, which I believe will fundamentally reshape travel patterns. The distinction between tourism and residence will blur as more people become “digital nomads”, spending weeks or months in destinations rather than just days. This could actually ease overtourism in peak seasons while distributing economic benefits more evenly throughout the year.

From a social perspective, I anticipate greater emphasis on authenticity and meaningful connections. There seems to be a growing backlash against “tourist-ified” experiences, with travelers increasingly seeking deeper cultural immersion. This might manifest in the rise of home-stays, community-based tourism, and skill-sharing experiences where visitors learn traditional crafts or cooking.

Somewhat controversially, I also think we might see a bifurcation in travel: on one end, hyper-luxury, personalized experiences for the wealthy, and on the other, budget, standardized travel facilitated by automation. The middle market that characterized 20th-century tourism might shrink considerably.

Of course, these are all educated guessesblack swan events like pandemics or geopolitical upheavals can completely upend predictions. But I do think we’re moving toward a travel paradigm that’s more conscious, more connected, and more technologically integrated than what we’ve known.

Phân tích:

  • Structure: Comprehensive covering technology → environment → work patterns → social shifts → market segmentation → caveat about uncertainty
  • Vocabulary: Sophisticated speculation language (on the cusp of, envision, reckoning, transition from…to, bifurcation, black swan events)
  • Grammar: Advanced with future forms, conditionals, relative clauses, participle phrases
  • Critical Thinking: Multi-dimensional analysis considering technology, environment, social changes, acknowledges uncertainty

💡 Key Language Features:

  • Speculation language: “I suspect”, “I envision”, “will likely”, “probably”, “I anticipate”, “might”
  • Trend language: “increasingly”, “growing backlash”, “rise of”, “transition from”
  • Hedging: “quite radical”, “somewhat controversially”, “educated guesses”
  • Abstract concepts: regenerative tourism, digital nomads, bifurcation, paradigm

Chiến lược và lời khuyên từ Examiner

Chuẩn bị trước khi thi

2. Thực hành với recording:

Ghi âm câu trả lời của bạn và nghe lại để:

  • Kiểm tra filler words (um, ah, you know)
  • Đánh giá thời gian nói (Part 2 phải đạt 2 phút)
  • Nhận diện repetitive vocabulary
  • Cải thiện pronunciation và intonation
  • Xác định điểm cần pausing tự nhiên

  • Expectations: anticipate, envisage, foresee, assume, presume
  • Surprise: taken aback, astounded, amazed, astonished, bewildered
  • Beauty: breathtaking, stunning, magnificent, spectacular, picturesque
  • Disappointment: underwhelming, let down, fall short, anticlimactic

  • Sử dụng discourse markers nhẹ nhàng (Well, Actually)

Where: Ha Giang - far north
When: Oct 2022 - 3 days
Expected: nice photos, touristy
Reality:
- Stunning landscapes
- H'mong culture
- Authentic homestay
- Transformed perspective

  • Acknowledge complexity: “That’s a complex issue…”
  • Consider multiple perspectives: “On one hand… However…”
  • Provide specific examples: “For instance, in Vietnam…”
  • Show awareness of current trends: “Recently, we’ve seen…”
  • Don’t be afraid to admit uncertainty: “I’m not entirely sure, but I’d say…”

Xử lý tình huống khó

Khi không hiểu câu hỏi:

Đừng hoảng sợ, hãy lịch sự xin clarification:

  • “I’m sorry, could you rephrase that question?”
  • “Do you mean… [paraphrase your understanding]?”
  • “Could you explain what you mean by [specific word]?”

  • Dùng paraphrasing: “It was… how can I say… extremely impressive, like nothing I’d seen before.”
  • Giải thích bằng cách khác: “I don’t know the exact word, but it’s when you feel amazed and a bit overwhelmed at the same time.”

  • Sử dụng time-buying phrases: “Let me think about that for a moment…”
  • Approach from different angle: “Another aspect worth mentioning is…”
  • Relate to personal experience: “From my own experience…”
  • Conclude and move on: “So overall, I’d say…”

Ví dụ: “The destination was salubrious” nghe cứng nhắc hơn “The place was incredibly refreshing and healthy.”

4. Trả lời quá ngắn trong Part 3:

Part 3 là nơi bạn thể hiện analytical skills. Câu trả lời 1-2 câu là không đủ. Aim for 4-6 câu với development rõ ràng.

Bạn có thể tham khảo How to describe a time you were very excited in IELTS Speaking để học cách diễn đạt cảm xúc một cách sinh động và tự nhiên hơn trong phòng thi.
